Ever wondered about your purpose in life? What was the reason for your birth? In order to answer those questions, we search for meaning and substance. But sometimes we, honestly, just feel empty, confused, uncertain and insecure. Where are the answers to questions in our life?
If we listen closely, we realize that we haven't heard the knock at the door nor answered it. The Bible, God's word to us, says it this way in Revelation 3:23. If we listen and hear the voice of the Lord, He will come into our heart and take part in our lives and we can take part in His life. The biggest problem is when we refuse to "answer the door" opened to us for all of those answers.
Here's the truth. The gift God gives to use, if we answer His knock upon the door of our heart, is this...eternal life. If we believe in Jesus Christ and offer Him our life and we accept His great gift to us, answers just begin to come. That's right, as we believe in Him as the Son of God given in exchange for all of our sin and failures, we can receive a life that is cleansed and clean and pure.
God doesn't make all of this hard either. It just takes a simple conversation with Him...a prayer! Just open the door and open your heart by asking God to forgive you first. Then let Him know you are turning away from your sins and those things that have destroyed the opportunity to havea joy-filled life. Open the door wide and ask Him to come into your heart. Be sure to thank Him for hearing your prayer by asking all of this in Jesus' name.
